Stitch N Bitch

Wednesday August 16, 7 – 9 PM

Stitch N Bitch is a monthly gather of craft curious people.  Hostess Karelle Levy will bring everything you need to learn or just work on a fun project.  A spiked punch provided by Broken Shaker will help loosen your stitches while you craft the night away.  Crochet, knitting and pompom making are encouraged.  No previous experience is necessary.

Towallas – Designer Pop Up Shop

Visiting Designer  Jayda Knight will be bringing her Towallas wrap collection for a weekend  Pop Up Shop
 Thursday August 17, 6 – 8 PM
Bringing fun, color & art into your daily lives.

 

Jayda Knight is a textile and interior designer whose love of color and pattern led to a collection of wearable fabric called Towalla.  She is a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design with a degree in Fine Art & Interior Architecture. Her career focuses on interior design, furniture and surface/fabric design and art.

She has lived in New York, London, Istanbul & currently in Miami. Her travels and experiences inspire her  colorful patterns & textiles, developing into a concept line called Towalla.  Her prints for Towalla begin as a watercolor, gouache, and ink expression. They are hand woven in Turkey out of cotton & linen fabrics that can be used as beach towels, wraps, and shawls.

Learn to make your own plants that will never die on you! As part of the KREL Workshop Series, crochet artist Jennifer Suarez brings her Cactii skills to show you how to craft your own mini cactus. Make these for yourself or for a friend.

Limited to 10 people

All materials will be provided including yarn, ceramic pot, crochet hooks, scissors, and wine.

About Jennifer:

Jennifer Suarez is born and raised in Miami by Colombian parents. She first learned to crochet at 14 years old by her grandmother. She majored in illustration at School of Visual Arts and majored at Florida International University with graphic design where she focused on fiber art and installation.

​ She realized after killing 5 succulents at her low lit apartment that she could make plants that wouldn’t die. Jennifer now sells her crochets plants and gifts at various pop ups & markets around town.

“Chill out tho is something I’ve grown used to saying to myself, and my main method of chilling is making things.” JS
