Luau – Swim Week Presentation // July 19 2017

Kick-off Swim Week with KRELwear!

Happy hour festivities include “Stitch N Bitch” and a pop-up shop.

KRELwear, a locally based collection of handmade tropical knits, will take over the Freehand hotel (2727 Indian Creek Drive) with a Hawaiian Luau on July 19, from 6-9 p.m., during Miami Swim Week. Founder and designer Karelle Levy will present new resort pieces inspired by retro Hawaiian pop culture.

An informal fashion show for limited edition and one-off styles will be staged throughout the lobby and garden. The event also features a pop-up shop and “Stitch N Bitch,” a monthly knitting workshop for novices to experts taught by Levy. Peroni will sponsors a photo booth.  Olsuss Skin Boutique is our beauty sponsor.

Stitch N Bitch // July 12 2017

Stitch N Bitch is a monthly gather of craft curious people.  Hostess Karelle Levy will bring everything you need to learn or just work on a fun project.  A spiked punch provided by Broken Shaker will help loosen your stitches while you craft the night away.  Crochet, knitting and pompom making are encouraged.  No previous experience is necessary.

It’s free to join and all are welcome!

A dark comedy about some light censorship.
In 2011, Florida’s Governor banned the use of the phrases “climate change” and “global warming” by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. By 2015 he had the ban extended to most other state agencies. “Fireman are Rarely Necessary” is set in a not so distant Florida future where it has become increasingly difficult to find the right words to describe a place where things have gone very wrong.
