Miami Beach, FL - October 2024 - The Cosmic Craft Constellation is set to illuminate the December edition of the North Beach Social, transforming the Miami Beach Bandshell into a magical snow globe reminiscent of the galaxies above. This special holiday concert will feature beloved electro-pop duo Afrobeta, alongside a captivating installation by fiber artist Karelle Levy (Krelwear), inspired by sacred geometry.
Levy will create a stunning, site-specific pom pom sculpture to enhance the celestial atmosphere. Video art by Mariana Mendoza will further immerse attendees in this enchanting experience, making it a night to remember.
The evening will kick off with an opening set by Miami-based songwriter, composer, and multi-instrumentalist Vania Junco.
Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate art, music, and community under the stars!
The North Beach Social is a free monthly musical meet-up presented by Rhythm Foundation. This edition is part of Bandshell Laboratories, supported by the CreARTE grant from the Jorge M. Perez Family Foundation. Yarn for the Cosmic Craft Constellation is sponsored by Lion Brand & Silk City Fibers.
A series of community gatherings for pom-pom making will be held across the city to create the constellations that will form the galactic installation. For more information about the workshops, please RSVP at afrobeta.com
