The Interknit Activation

The Interknit is being activated in Fort Lauderdale!
Part of the Avenue of the Arts Festival, I'll be hosting a series of workshops at the South Side Cultural Center through the end of March for FREE.

Join us for free yarn + fiber art classes where you can learn, stitch, and contribute directly to the work. One knot at a time, the piece continues to grow through community.

Every other weekend, join me for an exciting beginners class on Saturdays in my studio in Ironside. Secure your spot for a delightful and crafty experience that promises fun and inspiration!
All skill levels are welcome.
I'll be serving tea and cookies while we craft.

Poetry in Pajamas - Pinecrest Gardens
April 3
Put on your favorite PJs and join us for the 8th annual Poetry in Pajamas!
Under a sparkling crescent moon at the enchanting Pinecrest Garden, kids of all ages are invited to recite their favorite poem, original or published, before an audience of pajama-clad peers—all beneath dreamy decor by The InterKnit.
Plus, attendees are invited to browse our by kids, for kids market, indulge in fresh crêpes, and enjoy wholesome healthy snack table for kids.

Emulating the galaxies above and turning the Bandshell into a magical snow globe. Afrobeta promises a special holiday concert, and fiber artist Karelle Levy (Krelwear), inspired by sacred geometry, will create a celestial site-specific pom pom sculpture to light up Bandshell.

World Wide Knitting in Public in happening this Saturday, June 8! This is an international event so people with be yarning it up all over the world. Whether your knitting, crocheting, making pom poms or needlepoint, you can join us for this international day.
We’ll be gathering at The Citadel from 3-5pm. It’s super informal and all yarn weirdos and non weirdos are welcome. Bring your projects, start a new one, learn a stitch. You can do other things than knitting. KREL & KERN will be on hand to show you some stitches.
Since Miami is so hot, we need AC! The Citadel seemed like the perfect spot with food vendors and a bar and lots of tables!

Under a sparkling crescent moon in the enchanting Miami Beach Botanical Garden, brothers Sam and Simon along with passionate poet Aria host an open mic for children. Kids of all ages recite their favorite poem, whether original or published, while surrounded by an audience of pajama-clad peers.
Karelle is spreading the colorful Interknit as a set design for the stage. We'll also have a crafting table for all to make pom poms to add to The Interknit!
